Nintendo lining up strengthened franchises; Animal Crossing confirmed for Wii - Image 1

Reggie Fils-Aime of Nintendo of America proudly hinted that Nintendo had a lineup of aces up it's sleeve for the upcoming 2008 E3 Media & Business Summit.

The Reggienator, as he's sometimes called, said that they're bound to be fantastic, for both the avid Nintendo gamer and the new market customer. Apparently, one of those games will be Animal Crossing for the Nintendo Wii.

Or so says Tom East, who wrote in a post that "Animal Crossing Wii will be unveiled at the conference." Subscribers to the Official Nintendo Magazine stumbled upon a "Next Month" preview note dotted with promising words, which was further reinforced with the appearance of a familiar character in Animal Crossing.

But what else has Nintendo in store for us all? Wait, and we shall find out. That and more when E3 crashes down from the heavens.

What other predictable sequels can we expect from Nintendo? There's already the "new" mario game, smash brothers, mario kart, paper mario, idiotic mario sports games, and now animal crossing. That's pretty much it for first party titles, so I am guessing another round of slightly improved sequels is coming.

» Animal Crossing?

I'd probably get it if it was an MMO. As for other 1st-party titles, I'm curious...

It's a long shot, but imagine if another Zelda game got unveiled! Or a Metal Gear game of some description. After all, Snake appeared in Smash Bros (wearing *MGS2* suit); Hideo Kojima has a lot of respect for Miyamoto, and loves working with him.

Wishful thinking on my part, but just imagine...

» WTF!?!?!?!?!

Don't like them? Don't buy them. Even a dummy such as yourself should be able to figure that one out.

MANY MORE sequel titles will be released. Are you going to be able to live through it? Will you need a support group?

Many people young and old like this series and WILL find enjoyment in it. Why would you want to take that away from them? Only Hitler would do such a thing.... or a douche bag. Take your pick!
