An unaccomplished list of New Years resolutions - Image 1With the new year already upon us, Nintendo of Europe has several suggestions for those of you who may still be puzzling about their New Year's resolutions. Of course, all of Nintendo's suggestions are related to your gaming life.

Of the ten recommendations that Nintendo has put forth, a couple of them piqued our interest: one, earn at least one platinum medal in Nintendo's Wii Sports; two, always be prepared to set new gaming goals. While the second goal is a continuous reminder to never rest on one's gaming laurels, the first one became especially meaningful to us once we heard that even household pets have seemingly become interested in Wii Sports.

All in all, Nintendo's suggestions make up a lofty but worthy set of gaming goals.  If you're interested in checking out the full list of Nintendo's suggestions, just click on the source link below. In the meantime, this writer has his own personal gaming goal to pursue: get an XS rating in every single operation in Trauma Center: New Blood.

» BS list

Instead of telling people what to do (and essentially buy,) Nintendo needs to make a list of things THEY need to do this year, namely:

Make enough Wii units to prevent scalping.

Continue to develop decent 1st party games rather than stopping it (smash bros and mario cart are it.)

Encourage 3rd party development because it's desperately lacking.

Introduce standardized console features like online play and voice chat.

Come up with some new ideas, rather than milking the Wiimote for the next 3 years (if the Wii lasts that long.)

Too bad Nintendo is too lazy and making too much money to be concerned with such matters.
