Nintendo Channel: Not a threat to Wii Homebrew development - Image 1A couple of hours ago, we reported that North America and Canada's Nintendo Channel for the Wii console was launched. The new Wii channel will enable console owners to, among other things, watch videogame trailers and download demos for their DS.

Early good news aside, this update may also worry some developers out there, and its implications for the console's homebrew scene.

For the moment, there doesn't seem to be cause for alarm. The WiiBrew site reports that the Nintendo Channel update doesn't appear to affect the Twilight Hack or the Wii Homebrew channel.

Given that this is an early report, we advise the readers to keep alert. For one, it's still unclear how Nintendo's new automated info transmission scheme will come into play with regards to homebrew development. Visit us again in case we receive any more updates regarding this matter.

# The fact that...lavino 2008-05-08 04:59
It forced me to send my current game data up to nintendo without asking me the very first time made me worry. Sure you can disable it afterward but they already know I have some PAL game saved on my NTSC machine =P

That is a flat out LIE!!! What's your problem?

The first time you run the channel it ASKS YOU if You want to share. You either click I AGREE or I DISAGREE

If you shared your info and did not want to then you need to pay more attention to what you are doing.

Quit spreading lies!

Why do you like to troll around QJ so much? Is that how you get your jollies? I don't think I've ever read a single statement from you ONCE that's hasn't been a form of trolling, douchebaggery, or just being a plain ol' @$$hole just for the sake of being one.

And to make it even more pathetic, this ISOHaven guy calls you out on like, EVERY single "point" you make, and when you're OBVIOUSLY proven wrong, all you can do is just act like a child and make fun of him. Can't you just bottle up your pride and admit defeat?

Don't you have anything better to do than troll? Granted, ISOHaven is just feeding into your stupidity and fueling your fire, but come ON dude, get a grip on life! I mean, jesus, are things really that bad in your life that you can't find anything else better to do than browse around on the Wii QJ comments and find a way to piss off people?

I await your pathetic trollish response, since that's really all you know how to do, it seems.
