NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams heads to U.S. on December 18 |

The buzz that Sega's NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams for the Nintendo Wii is getting delayed has been confirmed, but it's not as bad as some may have thought because it's still making the holiday season cut. Sega has just announced that the official North American release of NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams will be December 18, 2007.Sega has previously denied awareness of the delay rumor concerning NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams. This proves to be a valid reaction now as the NiGHTS: Into Dreams remake is definitely making it in time for the Christmas shopping rush.
The only question now is whether Sega did enough to give NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams enough distinguishing factors to make it a new game experience that fits into this generation of gaming or not. Some early peeks of the Nintendo Wii iteration have revealed a stark similarity to the Sega Saturn version, causing alarm to those who've played NiGHTS: Into Dreams a decade ago.
The story of NiGHTS revolves around heroic acrobats in a dreamland called Nightopia struggling to defeat evil dream creatures that threaten everyone in their sleep. Players fly and do crazy stunts in order to progress in levels which can only be described as surreal. We'll give you more NiGHTS and Sega updates soon.
