Mayor Mike Haggar, one of the playable characters on Final Fight - Image 1 Nintendo isn't pulling any punches this week, adding three action-packed titles to mix it up with the already formidable list of classic games available for play on the Virtual Console for the Nintendo Wii this week. Let's get cracking before these bad boys get out of control.

First up is Final Fight, the side-scrolling beat-'em-up where you take on the role of Metro City's mayor, Mike Haggar, a bad enough dude on a mission to get his daughter back from the clutches of the Mad Gear gang. He joins forces with Cody (his daughter's boyfriend) and Guy (Cody's buddy) to plow through Metro City's crime-infested streets and alleyways, punching out punks and pile-driving pimps into submission. Fans would be delighted to hear that every aspect of the classic brawler is intact, from the intimidating bosses to the devastating special attacks Mike, Cody, and Guy can bust out in a pinch. Wipe the scum off Metro City's sidewalks with your fists once more for 800 Wii Points.

Next in the nostalgia bomb volley is the 1992 NES hit Mighty Bomb Jack, where it's up to you to rescue the royal family from the evil demon Belzebut. As Jack, you'll navigate through 16 hellish levels of nasty enemies and deadly traps, each and every one designed to challenge even the hardest of the hardcore. This epic undertaking can now be yours for 500 Wii Points.

Last but definitely not the least is Battle Lode Runner from Turbografx. This retro classic has two modes: a Puzzle Mode and a Battle Mode. Puzzle Mode lets you hoard as many gold bars as you can while cleverly avoiding the enemy, while Battle Mode lets you take the experience to another level with four other players. And if that's not enough, there's a Level Editor added into the mix to keep things fresh. Battle Lode Runner is available for 600 Wii Points.

Those are the only games announced for this week, but rest assured we'll be keeping you up to date for more VC releases as they come in!

It looks like it's the regular SNES version. I didn't see Guy in the character select window. /pout
