Alright, I'll just do this article real quick before I burst with pink bunnies and cotton candy, and before my teeth fall out...
After having just opened its official website which also bears its first official trailer, we have here some new screenshots for The Sims Wii, which in its native Japanese, will be known as Boku to Sim no Machi (roughly translated as "Me and Sim's City"). Though it's still published by Electronic Arts, the difference in art style in enormous, as compared to the older Sim titles that we know. The title is obviously aimed at the Japanese audience (as well as otakus everywhere), who have long been accustomed to "chibi-fied" characters with the cutest expressions. We're not yet sure if this game will reach American shores, as the Japanese release date hasn't even been annouced yet, though we're crossing our fingers that it DOES make it to North America by whatever means possible. Yes, at the cost of our teeth falling out from all the sugar-sweetness of it all.
Also, whether long-time fans of The Sims will accept this new tweak to the game remains to be seen.
Now, excuse us while we glomp, huggle, squee and scream "Kawaiii!!!" for the next few days or so.
