Redsteel Wii 1

Ubisoft have released some new screenshots and a bit of artwork for their upcoming game for the Wii, Red Steel. The screens show how the first actual FPS title will look like with hand to hand combat using a machete which will probably be very life-like using the Wiimote. I call Red Steel the first real FPS because it has the most prominent first person element I have ever seen in a shooter. Actually being able to control the character's weapons using the Wiimote takes Red Steel one step closer to being a complete virtual reality game. Stop drooling!

Thanks for the tip saigon!

Yeah well i have to agree the other systems have better graphics but wii is still looking pretty darn good... i'm impressed. Nintendo and others are really hyping the gameplay more but i have to say that the graphics are just going to be a great big bonus especially with zelda.

I still cannot decide if the graphics look good or not. I totally agree that graphics do not matter and never bought a game because it looked good or didn't even bother to try a game because the graphics were not top notch.

Some screenshots look really good, like the one with the big "enjoy beer" ad and all the effects. Then again other shots look like a high res n64 game.

I just hope that it sells well because it definetly deserves it. But having Mario and Zelda as launch I guess might be the biggest challenge for this title

# Whos drooling this game is ugly as hell and plays bad to bootGuest 2006-07-06 07:00
Drool about Metroid, this game is crap. First True FPS? More like First Gimicky FPS.

The game is very hard to control and besides what the developers are saying I it's not better than using a regular controller. Of course keyboard and mouse are still king.

These are pre gen shots of games, which we are comparing to (most likely) last gen games on xbox and the cube. Remember waht fist gen games looked like 5 years ago? They looked like good dreamcast games. ANyway what im getting at is the graphics will only get better and since the system is very much like the gamecube, we should se the graphics improving even faster than usual.

# 3 versions of the gamessj3fox 2006-07-07 02:46
I glade Ubisoft made 3 versions of this game. Once the controllers are smoothed out it should be a great game.
