The noisy orange ninja is back for more action on the Nintendo Wii with Naruto: Clash of the Ninja Revolution which is being developed exclusively for the North American audiences. It features a bigger and better line-up of characters drawn straight from the anime series, many of which have never been seen before on Japanese Nintendo titles. Make your way through the ranks of the ninja academy in the Konoha village and save your country from the hands of the nefarious Orochimaru and the power-seeking Akatsuki gang.

These screens show some of the sequences new to the title. The graphics are looking pretty good, true to the look of the anime's visual style. Movements are nice and detail is given emphasis. We're very excited to see just how the Wiimote figures into all the ruckus.

Contrary to popular belief, the game isn't a port of the earlier Naruto Clash of Ninja 3 and #@%!8
9#@%! titles released in Japan for the GameCube. It's actually a separate game all on its own, though it does borrow the Naruto Taisen EX game engine. It has a different storyline and quite possibly different mechanics designed especially for the American crowd. A release date hasn't been cast but we'll keep you posted for more when updates are at hand.

It borrows the GNT EX Engine? ***** then, I hope they fixed the lag from EX when they release this one. I own a Jap Wii with a WiiKey in it and own GNT 3 and EX, and EX lags a little with 3 chars on the screen and lags really bad with 4+ chars. It's nice though that it's NA exclusive.
