Fire Emblem is one of the longest running RPG franchises in videogame history, and is generally credited as being the first ever strategic RPG. There are currently nine games in the series with the first 6 being Japan-only and the last three enjoying an overseas release.

The tenth game is the one that we have a screenshot of today. The screenshot appears to be of the female main character (is that really Path of Radiance's's Ilyana?) facing off against a big red lion (Red XIII, you grew hair! Oh, sorry, wrong series). Gameplay appears to be the same, with the characters engaging in one-on-one battles with their enemies. Graphics-wise, the title is looking quite good, and we are desperately (and that's with a capital "D") looking forward to this game's release.

Fire Emblem for the Wii does not have an official title as of yet, as well as a release date. For now, enjoy the screenshot.
