Who knew water droplets can be so bad-ass? In Konami's latest adventure game for the Nintendo Wii, you take on the role of Dewy, a young water droplet out to defeat the Evil Lord Hedron in order to put a stop on his anti-water policies. Director Shingo Mukaitoge talked to IGN about it and he shared some screens as well.

In Dewy's Adventure, you can be more than just a droplet that falls to the ground and seeps into the soil never to be seen again. Dewy can be controlled and rolled around in his liquid glory with gestures using the Wiimote. If you think that's boring, wait 'til you hear about what the D-pad can do.

Using the control pad, the environments around Dewy can be controlled in terms of temperature. Raising the heat will cause you to evaporate, turn into a mini-cloud, and give you the ultra-fun ability to strike hapless foes with lightning. If you want to chill out, there's always the option of lowering the temperature which will turn you into a little chunk of ice that can freeze enemies and surroundings. Make no mistake, however, as the degree of difficulty in controlling Dewy changes as his state varies.

Across the colorful levels, you're going to have to do more than beat enemies. You'll also encounter head-scratching puzzles that will challenge your wits. The puzzles will have a lot to do with your abilities, so master them all.

Mukaitoge promised more details in the succeeding volumes of his developer diary log on IGN. We'll give you an update as soon as they are released. For the meantime, enjoy these nice screens which IGN posted. You can also click on the read link to see the director's fill log.
