Netflix video streaming has been rumored to be headed for the Nintendo Wii console before, and now here's another rumor saying that the service will be launched not only on the Wii but on Apple's iPhone and iPod Touch devices as well.
There was no specific timeframe mentioned, but Multichannel says that according to "an industry executive familiar with Netflix's plans," it's coming soon.
Multichannel further surmises that the service will only be made available over local Wi-Fi connections for the iPhone as it would eat up too much bandwidth if At&T's 3G data network was used. As for the Wii, it has been rumored before that the Netflix service would be made available via a "streaming disc."
