NBA Live 08 to get what NBA Live 07 lacked: brains |
Ó
This time around, Electronic Arts is focusing on a better, improved game with - yep, you requested it - brains. The current 07 title never made it to the PlayStation 3, for possibly obvious reasons, and Electronic Arts shifted their manpower to bringing home NBA Live 08 to the depressed fanbase. In an interview with IGN's Jeff Haynes, NBA Live 08 producer Brian Ulrich decided it was high time the fans knew what Electronic Arts has planned for the future of the franchise. He revealed many new fixes, such as actual stadium environments (relative to the home state hosting the game), better ball trajectory, and new depth to AI strategy and thinking (team strategy vs. ball handler strategy).
We wanted to cover the whole interview here, but since there's so much information from Ulrich's context and words, we decided to let you hop right over to the four page interview and see what Electronic Arts is giving back to the basketball gamer. The game hasn't been confirmed on any console yet, but it was hinted that NBA Live 08 will be coming to the PlayStation 3.
With that said, you could be sure to hear an official announcement for the Xbox 360, the Wii and the PC. Until then, everything is tentative. Click on the "Read" link below to hop on over to Page One of the interview. And grab a notepad and pen folks: see what part of your wishlist EA is fulfilling.

NBA Live 95 was my very first... i have all NBA Lives since then... Live 07 i have in my PS2 but they didn't release it on the PS3...
so i had to buy NBA 2K7.. and it's better... less arcady (if that's a word).
love live series but if Live 08 sucks then 1) im gonna stick with 2K 2) the only basketball game i'll play from EA is March Madness cuz that game is sweet....
trying to shove this Live franchise up our asses..
Take-2's 2K franchise is far superior in terms of control, graphic s and gameplay
I havnt enjoyed Live since '05!
EA is gonna have to take a huge step forward to even tempt me and all my friends into going back to Live.
How long have they been saying that next year will be better? I havent bought Live since '05 beause i was always nieve to think 2k would be better when it was. I will never buy this game unless EA buys out the rights to the NBA, then ill have no choice. EA Sports has yet to convert to the next gen gaming and its been 2 years. For anyone to say they love this game cannot be over the age of 14 because 2k sports is dominating next-gen sports gaming. With you WEEZY all the way. and if you look at the graphics in mlb 2k7 to nba 2k7, the graphics have gotten even better in the last 6-7 months; if nba 2k8's graphics are anything like mlb, which they should, then it will be the best sports game out there, period.
2k sports is all I play, EA sports is pure garbage, It's in the game, my A$$.
In my opinion ea sports is for people who like sports and 2k games are for people who like video games.
2k is for people who like sports and video games, 07 is for the idiots who say MADDEN 07 PWNS new roster update from 06 and love crappy ea, probably the laziest developer in the world, coming out with their crap sequels
