Natsume has confirmed that Wii gamers in the US and Canada are in for more farming adventures this year. Apparently they really are going to release Harvest Moon: Magical Melody as a GameStop exclusive.

Harvest Moon: Magical Melody is a Wii remake of the Gamecube title of the same name. It was originally released only in PAL regions, but the PAL version did not include the choice to play as a female protagonist. So far Natsume hasn't said anything if this is just a straight-up copy of the PAL release or if they've cleaned it up a bit.

Natsume hasn't announced an official release date for the title yet, but since they've said that the news about the GameStop release is pretty accurate then I guess we can expect this to come out in late August.
