Introducing, the NASCAR Kart Racing for the Wii. Yep, that's right, yet another licensed sports title comes to your Wii, thanks to Electronic Arts.It certainly takes on that kiddie appeal, with colorful environments and big-headed characters (literally) roaring their engines. But the feature licensed drivers included are by no means kiddie-weight, with the likes of Jeff Burton, Kyle Busch, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson and Tony Stewart going along for the ride.
The game also features up to four players via split screen throughout 24 "race layouts". What else is there? The Daytona International Speedway, Talladega Superspeedway, Dover International Speedway and Bristol Motor Speedway, that's what.
Ryan Stradling of EA North Carolina and senior developer director of the game also spills some more details on the game in an interview with EDGE, revealing how down to the bare essentials this game is going to be. No frills, all fun.
NASCAR Kart Racing does not have an online mode, and there's no Mii support. Control scheme-wise, it supports the Wii Wheel, the Wii Remote plus Nunchuk, the GameCube controller, the Classic Controller, basically anything that's out there -- except for the Wii Balance Board, and actually, the fighting stick is also not supported [laughs].
While waiting for more updates on this, though, why don't you check out the debut trailer for NASCAR Kart Racing first? Click play and you're set to roll.
