Namco official site lists Eternal Sonata for PS3, Beautiful Katamari for PS3, Wii |

When asked about the availability of Eternal Sonata for the PS3, an Namco Bandai spokesperson only had this to say: that they are not aware of a PlayStation 3 version at the moment. But their official website now says otherwise.And that's not all. Beautiful Katamari is also listed for both the PS3 AND the Wii.
Remember the previous rumors about Beautiful Katamari leaving the PS3 in favor of the Wii? It looks like our dear beloved Prince had a change of heart and decided to - once again - roll over to the Nintendo Wii and Sony PlayStation 3.
If this isn't a typo (like the supposed Killer 7 for the Wii), this should be a definite sign of good things to come.
*Update* As QJ reader teeg commented below, it turns out that Namco Bandai has indeed updated their site and took out the listings. That was pretty fast! So, all we can assume now is that the listings of Sonata and Katamari for the other next-gen consoles were nothing more than a simple typo. Glad things are cleared up now!

the poor 360 sales in japan its not a secret, namco-bandai probably was thinking they can boost 360 sales and sell a lot of games but they just realized that exclusivity for 360 = no sales for japan maybe they will make ace combat's port for PS3 or Wii
I suppose it's more "DAH!" then "WHAT?" since the game appeal more to japanese gamers and, in japan, the xbox360 is not selling at all, even at the price of the wii (yeah, it's not a typo) and bundled with blue dragon... That means that eternal sonata CANNOT sell well, it's completly impossible (on the x360). I mean, you can see on the square-enix charts that 85% of their sales are from japan, this leave 15% to be split between europe, autralia, US, etc... and square sell almost only JRPGs, like eternal sonata (by namco-bandai), so it's normal to see a hole in the sales of eternal sonata. Namco only have one choice if they want bigger sales, they have to port the game on the ps3 (shoudn't be hard since the graphics are basic cellshaders). Personanlly, I would buy the game at 100% sure if it were on the ps3, and a lot of ps3 took this console since they like RPGs too, soo.... yeah, namco would do MUCH MORE money on the ps3. I already supposed this would come, but I can still only "hope" it's not gonna be oo long... :( I wanna play.
I just went to the official site and if the pic. was not photoshopped and they really saw that err... well, it's not there anymore. There is only "Genre Role Playing Games Platforms Xbox 360™ Release Date September 17, 2007 " So this news is not a news, it's just a photoshop rumor OR a typo... sadly
They took out both PS3 and Wii from Beautiful Katamari. They also took out the PS3 from Eternal Sonata. I'm not sure what's going on anymore.
quite right, teeg! thanks for the heads up! namco bandai sure got those fixed pretty fast. guess we can assume this was nothing but a typo on their site after all. ^_^
Beautiful Katamari is 360 only? I dont really have a problem with that aside from the fact that most 360 fanboys seem to despise anything with bright colors or happy things. Oh well, both games look great!
Eternal Sonata is coming for PS3. Eternal Sonata JAP Termin 12.09.07 - Bandai Namco gibt in der Famitsu bekannt, dass das Xbox 360-Rollenspiel Eternal Sonata Click Picture (jap. 'Trusty Bell: Chopin no Yume') 2008 auch für die PS3 in Japan veröffentlicht wird. in English Eternal Sonata JAP Release 12.09.07 - Bandai Namco says Famitsu, the XB360 RPG Eternal Sonata (Trusty Bell: Chopin no Yume) will be released 2008 for the PS3 in Japan. if this is true...ps3 may possibly come close to wii sales.... or maybe not.
