Want something to mull over the rest of the evening? Try this one: Namco Bandai has filed a US trademark for one "God Eater". Nothing else is known about this, except for the fact that it's meant to come out on the PC, mobile, and consoles.

If you'll remember, the same "God Eater" was also filed for trademark by Namco in Japan last October. It's not that hard to imagine that the God Eater being referred to here would be Atum, first mentioned in Strange Tales #70, and first fully appeared in Thor Annual # 10.

Are we talking about you?!?... Are we talking about you..
That's an interesting question, God Eater.

Could it be, he who is also known as Demogorge and holds the occupation of God and demon slayer, sun and fertility god, and ex-head honcho of the Ogdoad and Ennead be really coming to the gaming world?

That would certainly be a cool addition to the already varied pool of comic book heroes around, wouldn't you think? After all, he's got approximately a billion years of life experience under his belt.

Impressive, in'nit? Now if only it's really him We don't know for sure yet, but now that the trademark application's out in the open, we expect to hear more from it soon. And since everybody's twisting in their seats waiting for E3, we'll also say that we just might see this at E3.
