Homebrew - MPlayer CE v0.21b [updated 2/21] - Image 1

If your Wii is just gathering dust, then this Wiibrew program should give you a reason to whip it back out. Heh.

Several Wiibrew devs have grouped together to make MPlayer CE, a hybrid program that brings together three of the best Wiibrew media players for the Wii: Team Twiizer's MPlayer port, MPlayerWii, and GeeXboX.

MPlayer CE supports a lot of video and audio formats, and can even playback media from DVDs, SD Cards, USB Drives, and Samba. It can also let you listen to radio streams from the Internet. Because of the hardware limitation of the Wii though, it can't playback some high-res vids. Please note you'll need DVDX for this (you can get it after this link).
