Mother arrested for helping kid and friends sell off a stolen Wii |
Ó
It's one thing to be supportive of your kid's endeavors, but kinda another when that endeavor involves a felony. A mother has been arrested by the cops after she was suspected of helping her son and his friends sell off a Wii to a pawn shop -- one that they stole. The mother, 41-year-old Maxine (ironically) Law, helped her son, Patrick Early (16), and his friends Joshua Carter (18) and Derrick Henson (13) make the drop at a local pawnshop even with knowledge that they nicked it from a neighbor.
The victim, Jenein Frazier, was heard saying, "You don't go selling something stolen, it's crazy." Looking into the case now is the state attorney's office. It is said that Law may be charged with dealing in stolen property, as well as contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

What the hell is wrong with her?
It is crazy. She should be ashamed of herself. Those kids are going to be life long criminals being raised by a woman like that. Completely disgusting. I hope she goes to jail and those kids end up in juvie.
Wow at this story, well you can say she got what she deserved, now I'm gonna think twice about going into a pawn shop, cause you don't know if the stuff there is legit most of the time.
I'm slightly surprised that people don't realize that most stuff found in pawn shops is stolen. You don't find Pawn Shops in Uptown, you find pawn shops in the ghetto, close to the liquor store.
I only feel sorry for the 13 year old. He's got at least 2 adults and a fairly older kid teaching him how to be a drain on society. At times I envy China's "One child per family" policy. If we adopted that thinking, we wouldn't have welfare moms raising criminals. Or at least they'd be raising fewer criminals. Of course I don't REALLY want that for any nation, but you have to admit there are positives to it.
I was just saying I've maybe been in a pawn shop once or twice my whole life, so I'm not to familiar with them :)
I didn't mean to say that all mothers on welfare are raising criminals. After reading my post I realize it sounds that way. I just meant this lady in particular is raising criminals. I do apologize to anyone out there struggling.
I really like that picture xD
I knew the mcdonald's gang was evil
(On topic) Maybe she was blackmailed into doing it?
But what could kids possibly have on an "upstanding" adult that they could use to blackmail her with. It just seems like really poor decision making on all accounts.
blackmail her, threatening to post her sex vid on youtube, put a gun to her head, accuse her of abuse, plant drugs in her room and call the police!
have a doberman attack her!
kids could think of millions of things!
the wii isn't worth even a day in jail. LOL
