More Wii Launch Date Speculation |
There have been several speculated launch dates for the Wii
based on previous press releases from Nintendo and listings of game release
dates. This one comes in the form of one big package with matching console and
game releases. A German website, World of Games, has listed a Wii and a few Wii
games with a release and launch date.
The date shown on the website is listed as November 9th 2006. This matches
Nintendo's tradition with releasing systems in November and coincides with the
several launch games as listed on the same website. This looks to be the most
accurate release and launch dates listed so far, but as usual this is pure
speculation and you should take it with a grain of salt.
Go Nintendo also has explained that their very own podcast staffer, Lube, has been shouting this date out in their recent podcasts. If I were to shout anything out, I would say the same date. Although, I've been hoping for the October 2nd speculated release, it seems very unlikely.

The url leads to a swiss domain, not a german. Additionally, the price is printed in SFr (swiss francs) instead of EUR (as germany uses the euro as currency). Even rumours should get a little verification ;)
I think what Justin meant was that it was a "German-language website" (you know, just like how a book written by a Chinese person in English is still called English literature). The language looks like Swiss German to me (Schweizerdeutsch -- not sure about the spelling there LOL). But I'm no linguistic expert. Just dropping by an opinion. LOL Whatever it is, it's definitely a language that's part of the German language family.
