If you enjoyed the previous Tony Hawk games, then you'll probably love this one. Build from the ground up especially for the next-gen consoles, Tony Hawk's Project 8 will definitely have you careening your way into becoming one of the top 8 amateur skateboarders Tony's looking for.

Activision boasts of better graphics, new gameplay and other interesting features in this newest Tony Hawk game. Expect more goals, mini-games, side missions and secret areas you can unlock in Project 8, while at the same time proving to professional skaters that they should be respecting your skills, and that your town is the number one skateboard destination.

Scheduled for an Autumn release, a trailer of Project 8 emerged online, and we're only happy to bring it to you. So, check it out after you're done looking at these awesome screenshots.

» hmm

God i wish the 5 people out there who buy these damn Tony Hawk games would stop so Activision would get the hint and stop making them.

PS3 and 360 could handle graphics far better than those screens, but untill people stop buying this subpar crap the rest of us have to deal with it.

im looking forward to this game. american wasteland was a lot of fun (although far too short/easy), but the underground series along w/3 & 4 were crap. hopefully it goes back to being a tad more realistic like 2 and we dont see as much of the "special" tricks like were u kick the board into your own face and land it. it looks more geared towards being a sim and more mature than it has been.

» Graphics are not needed ... GAMEPLAY PLEASE!

Common now... who cares about graphics for Tony Hawk series (skater wise...) : We need REAL gameplay. Give us the option to control the board in the air Amped style. Let US do the entire motion of a 360 flip with the motion sensors and joysticks.

We need realistic interaction with the board in order to be called a Skateboard game. I'm freken tired of pressing buttons to do tricks... or that the goal is to get to 10000000 points or what not :

We should be able to brag to another friend that we finaly landed a kickflip nose slide... or that you got the hardflip down... not that you unlocked a stupid special trick like the ... eee : "cartwheel grind" COMMON ... freken rediculous.

The only thing that makes a skater SKATE is to learn new tricks, figure out HOW to do a trick and execute it... not to pull off a backflip to smith into a 900 out!!!

I know that their is more money if you get more people to play the game. Not everyone wants that .. than at lease give us a simulation mode and an arcade mode.

ACTIVISION PLEASE!!! Take this as a last request from all skaters out there.

Rent of the day

» PS : File extension

For those hwo can't make the video work (common... a simple google search people)...

Simply rename the video : add ".mov" at the end of the name.

Works fine,

peace

» It looks hot but I see problems

it looks amazing best thps graphics I have seen so far, but some of those focus mode movements look unrealistic like the way how the skater isnt moving at all while the board is just flipping around in crazy directions and some of it still looks like last gens tony hawk games, but it still has some time to go under developement, and I hope that the goals and objective arent retarded, but we will see, I have high hopes for it
