More Tales of Symphonia: Knights of Ratatosk screenshots |
Ó
Now that we know Namco Bandai is taking Tales of Symphonia's sequel to the west, it's difficult not to be excited. For all those who've been anticipating Tales of Symphonia: Knights of Ratatosk (confirmed to be Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of a New World in North America) for the Nintendo Wii, here's a big batch of screenshots to sweeten the wait for a release date.
As an RPG for the white hot console, Tales of Symphonia: Knights of Ratatosk looks solid with anime-esque art which has been associated with the series. Without a doubt, the Tales team took visuals up from Tales of the Abyss with more vivid facial expressions. Interior backdrops haven't really evolved, but the scenery outside is noticeably richer in color.
Combat appears very familiar, though we already know that the biggest change in that department is the introduction of capturing monsters. We're still all ears on any Tales of Symphonia: Knights of Ratatosk details, so watch this space for updates!

Combat doesn't look familiar QJ. There's a huge difference between Symphonia 1's combat system and this one. First of all, this combat system uses a system similar to that of Tales of the Abyss. Known as the; FR-LMBS.
That's exactly why it's familiar to fans of the Tales series. I sure can't wait to get my hands on it since I loved ToA. :)
Not that I'm entirely againsy something diffrent, but everything about this seems so not a Tales game, and seems to have almost nothing to do with TOS. Non-playable NPCs don't count...
