Sega's blue hedgehog (of doom?) is rapidly approaching the Wii, but right now he's actually right here. Well, not HERE here, but you get the idea, right? Anyway, check out the new gameplay videos from IGN below.

 





Sonic and the Secret Rings plops Sonic right within the pages of the classic book One Thousand and One Nights, where he must do battle against the evil spirit Erazor Djinn. Erazor Djinn is absorbing the power of the book and causing the pages and the stories within to disappear. It's up to Sonic (well, the player, actually) to brave the various stories in the book and save them all from utter annihilation using his trademark speed and attitude.

Sega's Sonic and the Secret Rings is slated for a February 20 release in the U.S. European gamers will get this title on March 3.

Looks good, the rock music is the most horrid thing imaginable though, the sonic series needs to ditch the crappy rock music.
