Rumors have been circulating around that Factor 5 studio is reincarnating Pit of Kid Icarus in a new solo act, away from his fellow video game icons in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.Adding to the flame is IGN editor Matt Casamassina, who remarked in a recent podcast that they "know that the game exists" and that it would "absolutely" be arriving this year.
So far, there has been no official word from Factor 5 or Nintendo as of yet, so for now this is still classified under rumor. Even though we do hope that Pit makes a comeback in his solo career after a long hiatus.
Earlier this month, Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime hinted on a big holiday title for the Wii. We can keep our fingers crossed and hope this is the Kid Icarus sequel, but even if it isn't, that just means we have two big games to look forward to.
