While the Nintendo Wii doesn't look like it'll be getting Grand Theft Auto 4 any time soon, that doesn't mean the console's lacking Rockstar loving.  And it appears to be of the literal sort, based on this modded Wii that's just rolled off the assembly line of the Morpheon Mods team.

What makes this project all the more interesting is its backstory. Far from some unofficial (but well-done) creation, this project actually began with the blessings of Rockstar Games, whose office recently received the finished product. Quoting Morpheon's Ramon Stokes on what the modded Wii carries:

The Wii itself features our new car like clear coating, a completely laser cut and hand polished Rockstar emblem, custom color matched paint, color matched controls and numerous LED mods that were, of course, calibrated to not be bright nor too dim ;).

If the stylings on this Wii look familiar, don't surprised. The Morpheon Mods team was also the brains behind the Zelda Wii, and an equally kickass God of War custom PSP, the latter coming with its own custom box.

» What's the point of this?

At least the Wii gets a half assed year old table tennis port since it will never get a Grand Theft Auto game or anything else decent.

» GTA...

GTA was never a "decent" game...it was boring and gave barely no motivation to do any missions unless you had an obsessive-compulsive disorder where you HAD to finish everything in a game. Otherwise, cool Wii mod!
