Miyamoto: Super Mario Galaxy 2 has a lot of appeal for "veteran" gamers |
Ó

Shigeru Miyamoto is confident that just like Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Galaxy 2 will also be well-received by the "more veteran and experienced" gamers. In the latest issue of Nintendo power, Miyamoto said,
I do believe that there is a lot here to appeal to the more veteran and more experienced gamers, and I think itÂ’s a title that they will obviously enjoy, but I really took it into consideration and tried to do our best to create a game thatÂ’s accessible to new gamers as well. And, you know, we also built it with consideration that we believe that people who played through the first Mario Galaxy have become better players.
Hmm. Kinda sounds like Demo Play will definitely be implemented in this game as well. "Veteran appeal" doesn't necessarily equate to a more difficult game, but if they've amped up the difficulty then Demo Play will still keep it accessible to more casual audiences.
Super Mario Galaxy 2 is already far into development but was bumped to a 2010 release to make way for this year's New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
