If you're like the rest of us here in QJ who are near to scalding our scalps due to the head scratching brought on by the confusion of this game's release date, we must say, welcome to The Befuddled Club.As you'll also probably notice in our previous posts for Metal Slug Anthology, the game's Wii version was first rumored to be a launch title, and then it was pushed back to November 28th. And now, SNK Playmore is saying that the target window for MSA's release is "early December."
The PSP version also suffers from the same fate: first said to be scheduled for release November 15th then moved to 28th, and THEN to December 4th. If you check Amazon, their listing for the game's PSP version says that the game will be released December 5th. But if you head on to EBGames, they list both the Wii and PSP versions as slated for release on December 14, with the PS2 version hitting shelves a week later (December 19).
On the SNK Playmore's message board, you'll see that the game will be released "early December". But if EBGames proves to be right, wouldn't December 14 count as "mid-December" already? Now, we're not really complaining ('coz we know the wait will be sooo worth it anyway), this post is really just to update you guys on the game's release date (and tons of musings about it). If December 14 is indeed the final release date, we're totally fine with that. At least that's one more game we can expect to find under the tree this Christmas.

On most sites, including GameStop's, the date is listed as the 14th. However, I went to the GS where I've had it on preorder and asked in person. The guy looked it up and said that it'll be Dec 6th.
So who knows?
This game will never be released! I bet on Dec 14th it gets pushed back to sometime in mid 2007. Who wants to bet me? :) I have seen it get pushed back like 5 times now....
that it gets pushed back, but I hope they release it before christmas! It would be good for them, as people could buy it as a gift ;)
***** SNK. How long can it take them to put the finishing touches on a couple emulated games? They showed off a final build on Gamespot, and now it always get pushed back when it comes within a week of the release date.
why buy the game when theres the neo geo emulator that plays the metal slug games at full speed!
Come on Metal Slug!! Gamestop is cool. I bought a used(non ta-082) psp from them. Paid like $20 for 1 year warranty. They said it doesn't matter what happens to it, as long as I have the unit they'll replace it for 1 year. Sounds sweet. Time to play vcs in the shower.
I've already pre-ordered Metal Slug Anthology and they say it's coming out on the 19th December. I don't want it to be pushed back further. I want to play it so badly especially Metal Slug 6. Okay, if it comes out on the 19th... I'm getting it big time.
I'm now seeing release dates of December 29th... so much for christmas.
wait so the gamestop warranty for psp covers everything?
