US$ 9.99 component cables for your Wii - Image 1

Meritline.com is apparently offering HD component cables for Nintendo's Wii at under US$ 10 – well, barely. The electronics website sells the six foot 480p HD component cables at US$ 9.99 (plus standard shipping costs).

Punch Jump news claims that so far that's the lowest price option seen to allow Wii owners to play their games at 480p resolution. You see, third party cables, often sell for around US$ 20 or so, while the official cables sold by Nintendo are at around US$ 30.

Unless the shipping costs somehow skyrocket, this should be a decent deal. Unless you're an absolute Ninty cultist and you're the type who wants to have all the official first party stuff.
