Mega Man 9 DLC: Proto Man gets some action |
Ó
Mega Man 9 is just about to hit online networks (WiiWare, September 22; PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, September 25) and already, the first round of DLC is being geared up.So what can we expect from Capcom's first-ever Mega Man 9 DLC? The nuts and bolts of it: Proto Man becomes playable!
The DLC to unlock Mega Man's so-called brother will be available on October 6, simultaneously for WiiWare (200 Wii Points), PSN (US$ 1.99), and XBL (160 MS Points).
Proto Man plays a tad bit different from Mega Man, with each of them having their own pros and cons.
Take for example Proto Man's ability to deflect projectiles: while he can withstand smaller shots, bigger blasts (which he won't be able to deflect) will knock him back twice as far as it would push Mega Man. Another pro for, well, Proto Man is his ability to slide and charge his buster, which Mega Man (at least in Mega Man 9) can't perform.

I'ma say the same thing here and befor people start b!tching about it...
2 bucks isnt the point Protoman is well worth 2 bucks (now Bass I'd pay 10 for alone) but both DLC and Game are done to make a long story short please companies dont make this a habit chopping up games sellin the bulk for a full priced game and releasin pieces that would normally be an unlockable or something for a couple bucks cuz cmon 1 mill ppl download this across 3 platforms (which they will) and thats $2 mill I'm mean thats a cute scam but seriously is this nessicary the games isnt goin to be more than 700 MB anyway ppl already pissed at 10 for a retro game (not me) but send it out incomplete to make a couple thats kinda cold to some of your loyalest fans the MM community I WANT BASS IN 8-BIT!!!!
I remember when you'd unlock things thru gameplay rather than thru over-pay...
... sadly, I'll proly supliment thier greed cuz MM is awesome and that character is neeto-frito!!!
Eh, this is dumb. $2 is too much for such a small item. Talk about nickel and diming us to death. For $2 which is 1/5th the price of the entire game I expect 1/5 the content!
(( o)(o ))
I can't believe I spelled THEIR wrong... /slumps in shame.....
i have $4.30 left from my PSN card.
If you're buying a 8-bit game for $10 then I really don't see why you wouldn't pay the $2 for the content. I mean you're ok with being ripped off once, but twice is too much for you? lol
I think its always fun to see people complain about DLC. M$ pushed this concept and all the other companies just followed suit. I agree who the person that said they are nickle and diming people but that was the M$ way now Sony saw the gold they are doing the same. I'm not hating but when you supported the DLC concept this long why b|tch now. All you are going to see is more cheap games and mainstream games get developed this way. I think its stupid unless DLC is going to extend the life of a dying great game. DLC should never be used to just keep people spending more money on the same content. The best DLC scenario was COD4's. They at least let you use their kit to develop maps to be used in the game.
You pick up on your spelling of "thier" but have you not realised the general atrociousness of the other words you use? "thru", "cuz" and "proly".
If you're going to care about spelling then that's all well and good but if you're going to use English spelling try using the English language :)
I've realized it but Im at work... I dont have time for 2-3 syllable words that have lil' shortcuts. If I'm writing my boss or a peice of literature for someone grading me... yeah, then maybe I care about that...
However, mis-spelling WHICH vs WITCH, THERE vs THEIR vs THEY'RE, etc. is totally different animal for me alltogether. That isn't lazyness, that's just stupidity. Besides, mor keystrokes takes up mor space.
+] ...but thanks for your observation.
NIce but me I realty dont give a damn criticize my spleelling alllz u wantsz VGslag or who evert I say jus dotn read it ther is a succh thingk as typos and its not ts loke your NOT geetting your point aXross dont get mne wrong I love proppergrammer ands spellzing but ifs oyu took the timeout to read this thu than youy dont nneed to be criticizin typos and tyouve obvioussly get my pioint hold that...
@Xis - there's typos then there's pure ignorance. After reading a few of your posts, I have a headache. Grammar is NOT your "thing".
Most of my posts are from my phone, so I have LOTS of typos. Who cares? But typing like a 4 year old and never using punctuation is NOT a good way to get across to people that you have business experience. Which you tried to do in another article.
