We found an interesting interview on French online site Gamers regarding the elusive relationship between Wii's Friend Codes and avatars Miis. It should be remembered that Nintendo released an official statement regarding the matter back in March this year stating that the console will be utilizing game-specific friends lists.That means that you will have new set of friends for every single online game you play. On the contrary, Mii codes, how is it going?
Dowdeswell: Each Mii created generate a code Mii which remains invariable thereafter. This code will thus be useful for all the other online games in the future.
