Mario Strikers Charged producer on Friend Codes and Miis

Friend Codes are connected to Miis - Image 1We found an interesting interview on French online site Gamers regarding the elusive relationship between Wii's Friend Codes and avatars Miis. It should be remembered that Nintendo released an official statement regarding the matter back in March this year stating that the console will be utilizing game-specific friends lists.

That means that you will have new set of friends for every single online game you play. On the contrary, Mii codes, how is it going?


Dowdeswell: Each Mii created generate a code Mii which remains invariable thereafter. This code will thus be useful for all the other online games in the future.


Regarding Dowdeswell's video game, there have been some reports before that Mario Strikers Charged will be playable online Mario Strikers Charged Producer Justin Dowdeswell's latest comments seem to contradict this. Here's a translated snippet of the said interview:


Question: And for on a worldwide level. For example, fans in Europe should have no problems setting up matches with the players in other markets such as North America.

To the fans dismay, the manual of the European version of the title clearly stated that players in Europe are only allowed to connect with other players within the continent.
