Go Nintendo reports that European gaming magazine N-Zone has put up a review of Nintendo's Mario Strikers Charged, and in the review, a little clarification regarding the game's multiplayer features was included. Here's the clarification, translated by Go Nintendo reader Sventiga:

We want to clear up a rumor that is spreading around the internet: It is NOT true that you can only play against European gamers. If you have the Friend Code of a friend registered who is living on another continent you can play against them. The only problem is that you may suffer some lag issues.

This is good news for all the people planning to get the game. And hopefully this will be the last LAST word on Mario Strikers Charged's multiplayer. Oh, and the review scores? The game got 79% for single player and an impressive 86% for multiplayer.

Off course

That was annouced way back when the first multiplayer info were released. Local games are only for Quickplay (where you can play without friend codes)
