For roughly a decade and a half, the Mario Kart series has been among the most dominant forces in the genre with its wacky appeal that never seems to grow old. With the popularity of the Wii console in this generation of consoles, the expectations for Mario Kart Wii are undoubtedly astronomical.
April will hold the worldwide launch for Mario Kart Wii, and to herald its impending takeover of the gaming scene, an official site was launched in Japan. This is to provide a rally point for the building surge before the release. We can probably expect more screenshots, information, and possibly some videos of the game from this spot.
As you probably know by now, Mario Kart Wii will ship with the Wii Wheel peripheral. It'll hit Japan first, then it'll scoot to PAL regions, and wrap up its launch run in North America. This is certainly one of the season's biggest titles, so expect us to bring you more updates on it every so often.
