Manhunt 2 is pretty hard to miss, given that it's probably the hottest issue in gaming press right now. Banned from the UK, abandoned by Sony and Nintendo - we all know the story. Thanks to this, some gamers have looked down upon the gaming giants that didn't allow such game on their consoles. Big man Reggie Fils-Aime voiced out though, that Ninty isn't just covering its back.In an exclusive phone chat with Level Up, a question was asked: Was a game like Manhunt 2 ultimately not in keeping with the family-friendly image of the Wii?
Here's what he had to say:
This is not an image issue. Wii welcomes games rated E, T and M. We haven't approved AO-rated games. I doubt we ever will. What Rockstar has right now is a game rated outside our spectrum, outside any manufacturer's spectrum.
Asked if he was concerned about Rockstar sufficiently altering the content of Manhunt 2 to secure an M rating, and if the ESRB might still feel that the gestural controls would warrant retaining an AO rating for the Wii version, Fils-Aime replied, "That's an issue for the ESRB and Rockstar to work through. And as I understand the ESRB guidelines, the Wii controls should not be an issue."

Well they say theres no such thing as bad publicity. I think that all this hype may actually help manhunt 2 and the Wii's sales a bit. It might appeal to the type of person who likes things just because they're so bad they got banned and what not.
You know the type that they advertise dvd's to saying "So gruesome we couldn't show you in theatres"

I agree , they're such dumb peeps, talking bout educated fools. "No AO rated games are allowed on the console" such a silly comment, then I guess we is just for toddlers and teens. thank god I dont own , the controls turned me off at first anyways, this now proves that Wii is NOT for serious gamers. It's a kiddie console. Screw it!

I was hoping someone would mention that. Good ol' sony fanboys love to attack the competetion whenever they can. Sony is not releasing manhunt 2 for the PSP for the exact same reason. So ladies and gentlemen, all the negative responses you've read above should be directed towards sony as well.
