Manhunt 2 - Image 1

IGN has a report up on the many different environments you'll run around when playing Rockstar Toronto's anticipated Manhunt 2. The previewed stages include the Dixmore Asylum, the S&M Club, and The Honey Pot.

It was noted that the Dixmore Asylum serves as the tutorial/learning stage of the game. However, despite the stage's introductory nature, it was said that it is in no way a "trial run." You can still die in the worst of ways. As for the S&M club, it was said that in the later stages of designing the location, underground torture chambers were added to increase the sense of fear and mystery in the game. And as far as mystery goes, The Honey Pot location, although a red-light area at first glance is apparently a front for the sinister and elusive Pickman Project.

The screens of the stages are below. Click on each thumbnail to get a better look. A few in-game screens are also there, you may want to check them out. Manhunt 2 should be available on shelves and ready to dish out some insanity come the 10th of July 2007 in North America, and the 6th of July in the EU.

I'm from Toronto, and I honestly am ashamed by this game. Violence in games with a purpose is perfectly fine but a game which goal is too glorify extreme violent acts against human beings is utterly disgusting. It just adds fuel to sick minds.

First of all, spell disGrace right, you illiterate p r i c k, and then think about writing a letter to someone who actually gives a damn about your opinion. This game obviously doesn't appeal to you, but you are in the minority there out of people interested in this site, if you are so pc that you can't handle a child's game then you should sod off to pschotherapy, or better yet try considering the fact that some people play these games PURELY FOR FUN - not because they have "sick minds".

I'm from Montreal, and I am against any form of violence into real life as it is not a way of solving problems.

We could say the same thing about a lot of movies, from Hannibal that might give ppl the idea of becoming cannibals, Saw, or dog eat man. Anyway, the problem is not the game, it's the people.

Its only a game dammit, and for 18+. If you can't enjoy it as a game, then you should not play. We should start by removing guns from the hands of kids before trying to censor adult entertainment.

As I always said, this might be a tool to detect problematic people before it's too late. If your friend starts talking about how great the game is, how great it is to kill people, how great it would be to be in this world, then seek help for him.... That might just be another sign that, for once, could not be ignored. (ok it will still be ignored by too many people)

Oh btw I just PLAY video games I dont go outside and decide to to mimic video games. If more people played video games there would be less crime. :P

Actually he makes a point, so can you guys put your words in a more polite way instead of flaming him like fu*k? But i do agree that it's just a game, but you cant say that this games wont influence anyone to kill, the risk is still there. Dont bother to flame me. I dont really cares.
