Make a vid, get arrested: Wii scam update

Earlier in November, we talked about dlemmon99, a gamer who almost fell into a bait-and-switch scam with FYE. Well, we have an update, but it's not all that good.

Apparently, after that one video, numerous other people have been talking about their experiences with FYE, with some of them even making videos. Well, it seems that there was some additional backlash as dlemmon was apparently arrested for disorderly conduct after the fact.

His YouTube video was also taken down, along with having his account suspended, but it seems cambrown99 managed to keep the video and reposted it. We're note sure how long it'll be up, but it makes for a good talking point, at least. Have a look below.

hmm, i saw this vid on digg in the upcoming stories, and about 5 min after it hit front page it disappeared. i can't find the story anymore, searched the site and google to see if it was cached. now the original video's deleted, and the user dlemmon99 is suspended... and then i found your page with the working cambrown99's copy...... which is now down after about 10 minutes...



something seems fishy...

Bait and switch my ass. As an employee for FYE - (and believe me, I don't agree with MOST of what they make me do, but on a corporate level) I have to stick up for them here. This may or may not be news to you game weirdos but... the entire point of a company is to make money and stay in business. Why do you think Tower is gone? We as a company make NO money off of game hardware systems. NOT A PENNY. That's why the game systems are sold as a "bundle." It's not to scam anyone. Most of those employees are young people such as myself with absolutely no intention of ripping people off. Cool it.
