Majesco - Image 1A new Wii title that features "frenetic geometric battles" was announced today by Majesco Entertainment Company.

Called Blast Works: Build, Fuse & Destroy, the game is a sidescrolling shooter that gives players a huge amount of control over their gaming experience by letting them build their own levels, ships and even enemy ships.

Players can also absorb the pieces and weapons of enemy units that they destroy to enhance their ship's defenses. Now what does that sound like? Yep, Tumiki Fighters. Rumors of Majesco bringing the PC freeware game to the Nintendo Wii console surfaced a couple of months ago, and it seems like this is the end result.

Anyway, here are a few more features of the game:
  • 15 different land, air and sea missions
  • upgrade your ship's weapons, propulsion systems and armor in the Hangar
  • defend your Hangar by using the Wiimote like an anti-aircraft turret to shoot down enemies attacking from all angles
  • design your own ships in the Ship Editor and test them out on a custom level built using the Level Editor
  • 2-player co-op mode
Blast Works: Build, Fuse & Destroy is currently slated for a fall release.
