Guitar Hero: World Tour - Mii - Image 1

We just got confirmation that the Wii version of Guitar Hero: World Tour will be including a unique mode exclusive, quite obviously, to the Wii console. It's going to be called the Mii Freestyle mode and as the name implies, allows you to use your Miis while playing jamming with your friends.

The "Freestyle" part is a bit unclarified yet though. Chances are, this mode will basically be like a training area where you can just, well, freestyle to your heart's content, jamming and hitting some notes without fear of getting that stingy Fail grade.

Some other new information has also cropped up: one regarding controllers. It looks like you'll be able to use the Wiimote + Nunchuk combination to play air guitar or air drums as well.

WTF!?!?!?!?!

"It looks like you'll be able to use the Wiimote + Nunchuk combination to play air guitar or air drums as well." That's awesome!

Really?

I don't know, it seems to me that the nunchuck and Wii remote aren't far enough apart (cable-wise) to allow a fun experience like air guitaring.

WTF!?!?!?!?!

Well, it's certainly not for me. My kids are going to have a BLAST playing this. They look so said when daddy plays drums on rockband because they just aren't quit "there" yet. This will certainly put huge smiles on their faces and the best part is, it will be "just for them" like Rock Band is for the adults.

Sweet.

That's awesome. You let those kids rock out until they blow a couple speakers. Kids and Guitar Hero is the cutest thing ever.
