Lazard Capital: Wii to beat 1.2M, PS3 to sell 700K |

Lazard Capital's analyst Colin Sebastian estimates that Nintendo's Wii will beat his previous sales estimate of 1.2 million, while Sony's PS3 may just sell 700,000In his note Sebastian comments:
Our checks indicate that NintendoÂ’s Wii console continues to sell well, while Sony PS3 supplies improved somewhat towards the end of the holiday period. We believe MicrosoftÂ’s Xbox 360 is on track to reach our 2006 sales estimate of 4.5 million units in the U.S., while NintendoÂ’s Wii will likely exceed our original 1.2 million-unit target. Our estimate for PS3 sales in the U.S. for 2006 remains 700k units.
Elsewhere in his report, Sebastian comments that their "back-of-the-envelope" analysis suggests that software sales increased by approximately 5% this 2006. This figure is taken from the incremental sales driven by the next-gen consoles, and the ongoing solid performances of the PS2 and the DS.
As for the major publishers, Sebastian notes that they expect Electronic Arts to be down by 10% in December data. In contrast they expect THQ to be up by around 20% in December data due to strong titles.

True... PS3 is just not affordable its like you have to prepare at least 900 bucks if you want the ps3 with a game thats ridiculous... ohhhh and by the way FIRST *****ES HAHAHAHAH just had to say it
$900, it's $600 and if you think about it, it isn't that expensive...
700k units? the ps3 has sold around 1.18 mil according to vgcharts or even the nexgenwars is even at about 850k which 1 to believe doesnt matetr because they are both voer the 700k mark they say and also the ps3 has passed 360 launch numbers so wtf are they talking about i jsut hate people lacking common sense and im not a fanboy ima 360 owner dying to get my hands on a ps3
This is strictly U.S. figures. The worldwide figures are about that now. nexgenwars is behind with a lot of their numbers. They don't know jack.
ps3, 600+1 game +bout 700 u could get 3 wiis with 3 games for that price
I got a ps3 opening day, waited 24 hours for it. It's absolutely great. I still want a Wii though, and since release day, I haven't been able to get one in a store. Costco, best buy, walmart, they all have ps3s on a fairly regular basis. Sure they sell out in a day or two, but all of them say they DO NOT receive WIIs... WHAT THE HELL. Target got 6 in two days ago, that was the first wiis they saw since a week after the release.. And people say that sony is having a production issue?? What is nintendo doing about all this.???

ok from e3 05 till now fanboys have been talking trash about the other systems. the problem is that nobody wants to buy the system they root for. Im with sony and ive already got my ps3. I did my share of trash talk, but come on sony fans, its time to stop talking trash and defending your system and go buy one your making the xbots look good. because when its all said and done, the only thing that matters is sales.
