SCi Looking to Rebrand as Eidos, Posts 177 Million Loss - Image 1Looks like Lara Croft's future is safe for now. Owner of the Tomb Raider franchise SCi Entertainment has been going through a rough patch last year since, but they've since been on the road to recovery.

It was only a few months ago when Lara was once in danger of getting lost to the vile clutches of capitalism (or something just as evil, like bad movie productions), in a bidding war when SCi barely kept it together.

Now that the company's recovered, they're now looking to rebrand their image into Eidos, since the name is already a familiar brand in the industry. Eidos Interactive, which is already owned by SCi, is ultimately the more popular name, so rebranding their image seems to be the logical step.

The studio will be strengthening its "cornerstone" franchises, and will be releasing new games next year, including Just Cause 2, Battlstations Pacific, Championship Manager 09, and Batman: Arkham Asylum.
