Konami comes out of its shell with "a bunch of games"? |

Big companies will always reap big rumors. In the gaming industry, Konami is one of the biggest out there. And today, what else do we have but yet one massive rumor that has set online sites, forums, and blogs aflame with anticipation. We've been trying to track the original source of this rumor, and it seems that everyone is pointing back to a post made by one Chris Kohler in Wired.com.
What's the rumor? Quite simply that Konami will be announcing "a bunch of" Wii titles this week. Can it get any more vague that that? We don't know when Konami will drop the bomb, if at all. But we'll just keep you guys posted if anything explosive happens by the end of the week.
Konami has indeed denied the cancellation of certain titles for the Wii, and that everything they've been planning is still on the green light. But the question is: what titles will they be? Some have speculated that it could be a new title, much like Elebits, while other have mused of possible remakes, ports, or new titles of existing Konami franchises.
So, what's your bet? A lot are hopeful for an MGS title. But, let me break from the bandwagon for now. Personally, I'd want to see a TMNT title from the Konami labs again - heck, even just a VC release of the original TMNT game for the NES would still be ace! Besides, there's that new Turtles movie to come out this year... Movie-to-game tie-in title, perhaps?

IGN broke "exclusive" news yesterday about a new Konami Wii game, in the artistic style of Elebits, called "Dewey" or some such, with droplet or water being the main character.

I'm actually a bit releaved since the last couple of games kindof sucked and I'd love to see a TMNT game built on the Prince of Persia engine (or better yet the Assasins Creed engine).
Should at least be better than Konamis last shovelware Turtle efforts. Though I did love the old arcade game and the Nes games, solid 2-4 player fun. Would love to see them on the Wii VC alongside other Konami classics.
