Castlevania Judgment set for release in the fall - Image 1Konami recently sent out a press release detailing more info regarding their upcoming fighting game Castlevania Judgment. According to Koji Igarashi, the series' producer, the game will feature various members of the Belmont family facing off against characters spanning 22 years of Castlevania's history.

As mentioned previously, players get to choose their role in a battle between good and evil using iconic Castlevania characters. New information borne by the press release reveals that the game will also have connectivity elements with the upcoming DS game Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia to unlock additional content.

"We wanted to take this addition to the signature Konami franchise in a direction that really sets it apart from the previous Castlevania titles in the series," said Anthony Crouts, VP of Marketing for Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. "The Wii Remote and Nunchuk capabilities, along with the iconic characters, make this game the ideal entry point into the fighting game genre. This combination is certain to thrill old and new fans of the franchise. "

The press release also revealed the game's scheduled release date. Castlevania Judgment will be headed to store shelves sometime in fall 2008.

» Good Wii games.

I would recommend, upon you getting a Wii, Zelda Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime 3, the ones you mentioned (except THIS), and No More Heroes. I've said it before and I'll say it again: it is awesome! Sadly, though, it seems I'm the only proud owner of it. Zelda is probably the best game on the Wii, although Metroid does a good job of making you think twice about making such a statement.

As for Castlevania, I'm going to have to say I'm not looking forward to this. I'm a huge fan of the series, so when I read "Castlevania" and "Wii" in the same sentence, I nearly wet myself. However, I then read "fighting game". Fighting? That should be left to Smash Bros and Soul Calibur (which I wish was on Wii (because it's NOT. Legends? Don't care.)). Why couldn't they just create a HUGE, 2D, side-scrolling adventure?
