Kojima loves to have MGS on Wii

mgsThis next one is about GamePro Magazine's interview with Hideo Kojima. Actually, we've already covered this before but we feel like we didn't give enough emphasis on the little but crucial parts of the interview. Kojima is the creator of Metal Gear Solid and the latest installment of the series is slated for the PS3.

Now, in case some of you are not aware, Kojima has been pondering on making an MGS for the Wii. He mentioned that he will give it some serious thought once the MGS 4 has been released. These are his exact words:

Wii! Yes, I want to do it. I'm saying this everyday. But first, I have to face this giant that is called Metal Gear Solid 4, so until I'm finished with that, I can't do anything. We're not the ones who are saying we want HD. I'm not interested, myself, about HD at all.

I don't know if it's just me but this sounds good news to all Wii fans. We don't have to discuss about the Wiimote at this point because we all know how that works in a game anyway. But I believe that there last statement there is quite important. With HD and even 4D out of the way, we can almost smell some MGS action coming to Wii. Do you agree?

the staff at QJ are *****ing retarded.

we've had 4d out of the way since the first '3d' games.

the fourth dimension is time!

im sick of people listening to PS3 hype and made up things people hear OH IT CAN DO 4d and they dont know what the hell that means but it must be powerful enough to change their life!

No. the moment we were plaiyng the first 3d game. we were playing 4d, as there was a perception of time.

Sony is getting the big one anyways. Remember that an mgs title has been released for the gamecube already, but like a thousand year after it was released on the ps2.

Does this really point to a MGS game coming to the Wii? Whilst it's not impossible, I do remember reading a Kojima interview in which he stated that whilst he wants to create games for the Wii and/or Xbox 360, he wants to create a different series to MGS.

A ZOE game could benefit from being on the Wii though

Funny thing is, he wasn't talking about doing a MGS on Wii, just a Wii game. He has clearly stated that MGS4 is the last MGS game he will make, and has said for a long time he has some ideas for an original Wii game. Shove it Nintendo.

QJ really screws up often. This article has been on Kotaku for like 3 days, it was even reported on PS3's page a day ago and now they are reporting it again nad somehow manage to mess it up. He was talking about making games for hte Wii.

Kojima wants out of MGS, he stated that after MGS 2. I love the man, and MGS, but the man gets death threats to continue making MGS games.

Yeah, I don't think a MGS game would really work that well with the Wii controls.

ZOE or Boktai would probably work well though.

He just said to make a game for the Wii, not freaking MGS!!!!

He told (either PSM or OPM) that Metal Gear became really popular on the PlayStation consoles, so it would only be on them from now on.
