"Jumper" is a movie that tells the story of David Rice, a young man with a genetic anomaly that allows him to teleport. It's a great ability, only it comes with a package deal: those with the anomaly are being hunted and killed by a group known as the Paladins.

A few months ago, Brash Entertainment announced that they'll be releasing a video game based on the movie and whose story will run parallel to it. In Jumper: Griffin's Story, the ability to "jump" will be your greatest tool in battle.

There are three types of jumps you'll be able to do in the game. The combat jump allows you to teleport during a fight sequence and allows you to do combos. The traversal jump lets you teleport to any point in the environment, useful for evasion and surprise attacks.

Our favorite is the finisher jump, where you teleport enemies to "finisher" locations. Atop a high drop for example, or right beside a hungry lion.

While David is the hero in the Jumper movie, Griffin will be the hero of the video game. Griffin's a jumper that's been evading the Paladins since he was a child. Through his eyes, we'll know more about the Paladin organization.

Jumper: Griffin's Story for the Xbox 360 and the Nintendo Wii is scheduled for a release this February 12, three days before the film. While we wait, here's a trailer for the Jumper: Griffin's Story:

Meh

I'm pretty excited for the movie, as the books were excellent, but I don't know about the game. It might be good, but I'd have to see more before I can decide.

Nightcrawler?

Lol, but then again, NC had to have been able to visualize and know what that location was. It seems that this guy just teleports wherever he wants.
