The Joytech Wii sharpshooter - Image 1With Nintendo's Blaster attachment for their Wii console's Wiimote is still a point of speculation, it seems that manufacturer Joytech has beaten Nintendo to the draw with their own set of shooting irons, er, light guns. The new accessory has been dubbed the Sharp Shooter, and is advertised by the Joytech site as such:
  • Light gun attachment for Wii shooting games
  • Works on all TVÂ’s and displays
  • No batteries or untidy leads required
There were no further details on the Sharp Shooter's price or release date. For the moment, we advise the hopefuls to wait for further news on either Joytech or Nintendo's rigs. Given the way accessory trends work, we'll also have to wait and see when the other manufacturers decide to start churning out their own variations on the Wiimote's Blaster.

» first! (had to do it)

omg that's so cool that might actually make red steel better

» nah

somehow I doubt it

Plus, aren't all the buttons on the wiimote used in RS? All you really have easy access to here is the nunchuk.

hmm...... looks so tacky and gimmicky..... cheap piece of plastic that bridges the wii remote with the nunchaku controller. I remember the very nasty plastic steering wheel add on peice of plastic for wii GT game added nothing to the gameplay just cosmetic looks for the wii remote.

oh....about making red steel play better............... simple answer is no, because of the sword playing sections requires separate movement with the nunchaku controller with the wii remote.

» I like it

I don't care what anybody says, sure it needs some finishing details, but as a concept that thing kicks ass. I'd buy one. But, as it IS just a piece of plastic comparable to the steering wheel, I expect to not have to pay a lot for it. Though, if they finish the details some, maybe enclose the thing more, make it look a bit more solid (maybe an enclosure lid with pass-thru buttons like many of the old GameBoy add-ons), I'd be willing to pay a bit more for it.
