Before the Nintendo Wii even got its name, developer Spike has been prepping up a title exclusive for the console. The game to come is called Jawa: Mammoth Secret, and it's all about living life the hunt and grunt way.In Jawa: Mammoth Secret, you play as a prehistoric human in a semi-impossible world where dinosaurs and other primitive species roam freely. Along the way, you'll have the option to either fight, flee or domesticate them.
These were details dropped by Spike in the latest issue of Famitsu. Also mentioned is that there will be some 270 species of dinosaurs roaming the prehistoric world you'll be stepping into.
Encountering these creatures in the wild can be a tricky affair, and in the event that you'll have no option except to fight, where full-swinging controls will be employed. The B button, Spike says, can be used to power up clubbing blows.
Jawa is also designed to be a family affair as four different profiles can be used and all these can interact seamlessly. A messaging system is also in the works to allow interaction with other players.
Jawa: Mammoth Secret will be released in Japan come March 2008. This is an exciting prospect indeed for Nintendo Wii owners looking for more light-themed titles.
