Japan can't escape Wii fever

We've seen it in North America, and now we're about to see it in Japan. That video clip right there is yet another evidence of just how much people really are willing to stay and sleep on the streets for their much-awaited Wii. And that's a pretty long line for a pre-order right there!

The store seems to be an underground one, probably in a subway station. And as you can see, the line goes all the way up to where there is actual sunlight -- the main streets. There seems to be no signs of people camping out, but then again, we wouldn't really be surprised if that's what they end up doing.

Oh, but if Nintendo can only make the remaining wait a bit more tolerable!

That is nuts.

The wii make suck yet (but i hope not), these people are total nintendo fanpeeps.

There wasn't a single PSP in sight. Some good multiplayer gaming goodness for the DS owners though.

That is terrible.

The wii wont suck (maybe it will), those people are hardly nintendo fanpeeps.

There was PSPs everywhere. Bad multiplayer for the PSP owners though.

If you think that's great, wait until you see the lines that are already forming for the Japanese PS3 launch this weekend.

Sure PS3 has finally gained a little momentum, but don't be foolish to think the lines are goign to even compare to Wii.

Need some proof to open your eyes?

You might find some stronger lines in a few areas in the States, but don't think that PS3 is that all of a hit over seas.
