Jack Thompson returns, wants to lead revolt against Take-Two chairman

You gotta give props to Jack Thompson. Even a disbarment won't shut him up.

The former attorney once again makes headlines after he sent an email saying that he wants to lead a movement to oust Take-Two Interactive's chairman, Strauss Zelnick. Here's his email, with his typical third-person self-references:

TTWO is today trading at about $7 per share. Zelnick blew it. Thompson today bought a bunch of Take-Two stock at the $7 figure.

The reason Thompson has done this is to lead the effort by Take-Two shareholders to dump Zelnick. It is long overdue, and there are already rumblings that ZelnickÂ’s tenure at Take-Two has been a disaster, as anyone still holding stock that could have been sold at $26 and is now worth $7 and falling, can attest.

In the letter, he also describes Zelnick as an "incompetent, reckless goofball." Psychological projection, much?

and then what ... listen to how he was right about video games creating violent people?

In all honesty it is people like you who keeps him fighting. shut up and wish no ill will upon him. this is exactly what he wants.

I dont know how many times I have said it, this guy needs to be left alone... no coverage, no attention what so ever.

he has the demeanor of a rottweiler.... if he cant get good attention... he will end up going for the bad.

i dont really get it...hes trying to help get rid of the guy, whose brging down the company... how is this bad for gaming or the company?? wasn't it zelnicks fault the shares fell so much, im confused... can sumone clarify this?

He doesn't know when to shut up when he was told to shut up. He was disbarred for causing allot of grief towards not only game companies like Take-Two but even the justice system itself, harassing and belittling anyone related to "helping" the game industry fight back (in several cases, threatening people working in the justice system with vulgar emails).

Till someone can cap this guy in the head, we'll never hear the end of this religious bastard (he thinks under god that games are "evil" and this his right).

The day someone does actually cap him in the head and there's headlines in the newspaper, I'm going to cut it out and put it up in a photo frame. :)

I think Jack Thompson shouldn't tell everyone what morals are.. everyone has their own. and not everyone is a christian, I read something about him saying something was unChristian, I wish I could remember where, and that just urks me. Pastafarian ftw.

as a part of the gaming community I hope he lives a life without the likes of neanderthals wishing harm upon him...

with that one cap he would be right and a martyr hardly deserving for a man that isnt even worth the flesh he was printed on.

Well, I'm glad we seem to be getting a pretty constant stream of entertainment from this guy. I hope he never stops because it makes my day when he shows off his single-digit IQ.

Low stock prices? That couldn't possibly have anything to do with an enormous crushing recession could it? According to Jack Thompson: no.
