Is the Wii Blaster/Zapper coming soon? |

The Wii Blaster/Zapper is one of the most requested peripherals for the Wii. Those who have been clamoring for this little beauty may not have to wait long since it's already listed in GameStop with a May 1 pre-release shipping date. Of course, it has been mentioned that the date could simply be a placeholder. SPOnG has checked with Nintendo to try and confirm the information. The site was answered with a very cryptic "pure rumour and speculation - no official announcements have been made".
The Wii Blaster is listed with a US$19.99 price tag, so it's actually pretty cheap compared to other peripherals on the market now. We're still hoping the gun will be compatible with Duck Hunt and Hogan's Alley. If you haven't seen the product yet, take a look at the prototype blaster from last year's E3.

No but honestly, it doens't matter what we gamers say. Idiots like JT will still blast (no pun intended) this one down and calling it a murder machine.
Btw, all JT haters, stand tunes for a little documentary made by gamers called "Finest Fantasy", it's in the making right now and will be released across the net when it's done.
Might catch some attention to people who don't get what Videogaming as about.
check the forums... like 3 days ago i posted this and i specificly asked it to be put in the news section for the wii,with one little "thnks to rfmaster93 for the tip", but no, just take my ******* story, AND MY SOURCE ( gamestop ).

is actually big93, not rfmaster93...
i actuallly built my own "zapper" 2 months ago out of popsicle sticks and a hot glue gun. i modelled it exactly on the zapper and it works perfectly. i made it for call of duty. makes aiming and gameplay about 100 times more enjoyable. i'll try and upload picture this week
still prob gonna go out and pay the $20 for the plastic version.
