Internet Channel and LAN adapter stability fixes, Metroid Prime 3 videos

Nintendo Wii - Image 1People who are repeatedly suffering from Wii Internet Channel lock-ups can now let out a collective sigh of relief. Nintendo just released an update that prevents the Wii from freezing whenever the Reset buttons on both the Wii console and Home menu are pressed while using the Internet Channel. The update also fixes some Internet connection problems, stemming from the use of the Wii's LAN adapter.

On a related note, Kotaku also mentioned that two Metroid Prime 3: Corruption videos were included in this Wii update, but will be only available for those living in the U.S.

Those who've been plagued with these Internet-related issues can now enjoy worry-free browsing with their Nintendo Wii. Happy browsing!

The videos were not added on this update on the Wiiware it was added on the last one a couple of days ago.

So this update did not bring the new videos. I was able to watch them on the 13th at around 8pm pacific time. I did not update (there wasn't even an update available).



This article will make people think they need to update to get the new videos, wich is untrue. But I have yet to see the admins "fix" any articles.

One thing they didn't include in this post was the short disclaimer that Nintendo threw in right before the update began..... That the update might render consoles with "unofficial Hardware Modifications" completely unusable. IE: If you have a mod chip, don't blame us if this breaks your wii.

the videos weren't added in the update, because i received the videos late last night. so, when i turned on my wii console after reading that there was an update, i already had the other two videos before i updated my wii.
