Impact Cam

[PRESS]"Attention all passengers. This is your captain speaking. Currently, we're coasting 300 feet above sea level at speeds of - OH MY GOD!"

Yeah, that's one thing you definitely wouldn't want to hear on a plane ride to Kokomo. But kidding aside, all battles that take place in the skies have one thing in common: big, jaw-dropping, in-your-face explosions. Heatseeker (for the PS2, PSP, and Wii) is about to take that element and literally blow it out of proportion.

Codemasters has developed the ingenious Impact Cam for this game to allow gamers to go up-close and personal with those big hulking pieces of military machines as they implode and explode away into smithereens. While the Max Payne "bullet time" camera introduced the concept, this camera takes it to the next level and not to mention to new heights as well. You lock-on to a target, launch your missile, and if you get a direct hit, the Impact Cam rewards you a slow-mo cinematic showing the glory of love explosions.

Senior Producer Andrew Wensley is even confident that Hollywood might even be proud of their exclusive Impact Cam. "Heatseeker's Impact Cam delivers the thrilling sensations that are usually reserved for HollywoodÂ’s big budget movies. We want to give players the same explosive experience and special camera effects that make people want to go watch movies."

Here's more of those big, jaw-dropping, in-your-face screenshots. Click to enlarge, air dogs!
