Animal Crossing: hey how's the weather? So, how's the weather up there? A chicken who's managed to cross the road safely just told us that everything's going to be sun, sun, sun with regards to the supposed Animal Crossing game coming to the Wii. For one thing, the game is finally confirmed. It's heading for the Wii, and it would most definitely be sometime this year.

Aside from the confirmation itself, we've also learned that online capability will be incorporated into the game. No surprise there, since Animal Crossing for the DS used the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. But more than this, it's also been heard that the Forecast Channel will be integrated within the game's real-time clock.

Whatever the weather is in your part of the world, it will be reflected into this simulation game. Stands to reason too. If you're living your life in the real world where it's sunny-cloudy-stormy, then might as well have the same weather in the virtual Animal Crossing world in real-time.

not good for me

Since I live in Las Vegas does that mean that I'll never see snow in my AC town ever again? :(

me neither

... So because I live in the UK I'll only ever see rain and dull days? 0_o

So...

Same to the suckas who dont have Wi-Fi (wii-fii lol). It should have had an atomic clock and wireless hookup to AWOS instead of depending on wi-fi for weather updates. (by the way, I knew about the AC weather thing before any of ya'll)

If it really matters and you want snow, sun, etc just change your location on the Forecast Channel :P

Pft.

Can I get a big "duh"?

Perhaps...

Hmm... cool idea, but I live in Florida and would rather have snow in my AC winters. Maybe if there's a system that tracks precipitation, rather than what that precipitation actually is, i.e. if it's raining here in January, it's actually snowing in my AC game...

Great

This is great news! I love Animal Crossing games. I've been playing them since Dobutsu no Mori on N64(even without knowing japanese). I can't wait for this to come out.
